CARLSON’S PROTOCOLS OF CHABAD

 

The latest conspiracy theory being peddled by the right wing leader, Tucker Carlson, is that Chabad,- Lubavitch, (Chabad), a deeply religious Jewish sect is responsible for America’s war against Iran. So who is Tucker Carlson, and why is his slander so significant? How does Carlson rationalize his theory? Why is it comparable to The Protocols of the Elders of Zion? What is the Chabad movement and why is Carlson’s theory so easily falsifiable? Finally, should Carlson and Hasan Piker, (See blog below), for that matter be conveniently ignored with the other antisemites this election cycle and everyone just concentrate on regime change?  

There is an industrial revolution taking place that threatens the already troubled deeply indebted economic world. That, combined with two unresolvable wars, one in which the Jewish state is considered central to, is the milieu that breeds antisemitism. But onto Tucker and his analysis that can aptly be termed The Protocols of the Elders of Chabad. If the whole Iran quagmire can be blamed on the Jews with Chabad as their agent aided by Trump’s stupidity then Carlson could kill two birds with one stone. Let Jay H. Ell explain.

WHO IS TUCKER CARLSON

Tucker Carlson is the most influential pundit on the far right, in fact Time once named him as such. Up until 2022, he was Fox News leading anchor garnering more viewers than any other TV host. He was axed in terms of a settlement Fox’s Murdoch made with Dominion Voting Machines for spreading lies about their machines in support of Trump’s still ongoing canard that he was crooked out of the 2020 election. Murdoch also shelled out nearly a billion dollars as well. As matters turned out Carlson is now even more influential with his own media company. With subscriptions and comments on social media he reaches tens of millions. For his subscription show, Tucker Carlson Tonight, he captures up to 4 million that tune into his words of wisdom. 

Carlson has broken with Trump and openly supports Vice President Vance for President in 2028. Tucker’s defection, a particularly painful blow to “El Capo” as he sat next to him as recently as July 2024 at the Republican Convention. What is being glossed over is that Tucker has become outright anti- semitic touting a conspiracy much like The Protocols of the Elders of Zion which detailed the Jews control of the world. Antisemitism is the silent byproduct of the 2026 midterm election much as it was low down in Hitler’s list of priorities in the 1933 election in Germany. Tucker has maintained that Chabad, a mystic Jewish Sect for religious motives was behind the Iran war and is pulling all the strings. 

The original Protocols of The Elders of Zion was a pretty sophisticated document with forged minutes of the meetings of The Elders who were closeted behind closed doors at a Zionist Convention. The fact that the forgery and the garbage was meticulously exposed hasn’t to this day stopped antisemites using it as propaganda. It is still a core document in the hate countries, particularly in the Middle East. 

Tucker has his own strategy and differs from the original The Protocols where the Jews controlled the world in every facet. He narrows the objective merely to be the site of the Third Temple. Tucker relies on speculation, connecting odd bits of information, interviewing, without challenging, admitted antisemites and articulating the old trope that “some of his best friends…….”.

 TUCKER CARLSON AND HIS EVOLUTION TO THE CHABAD CONSPIRACY  

The indictment of Chabad as manipulators of the Iran war is bizarre. The logic is ludicrous. Quite frankly it appears to be a hasty attempt to rationalize naked anti - semitism. Chabad is an easy target because they are out front recognizable in the community in their distinctive black garb.

The narrative goes as follows: Chabad are messianic, (as are all the Christian religions); they want the building of the Third Temple, (a public prayer for over 2000 years of most Jewish sects and Evangelical Christians); and a few soldiers in the Israeli Defense Force were photographed with patches on their uniforms with third temple logos. (This is being investigated by the IDF and the patches were disseminated by another organization);. The next link is that Chabad want to build the Third Temple by destroying Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock and situating it on that site - that is the motivation for America’s Iran war! (If Chabad want to destroy the holy Muslim sites in Jerusalem surely they should influence Netanyahu et al not Trump!).

Carlson has not produced one jot of evidence with regard to the conspiracy. His theory must be analyzed with his history on the subject of Jews, all of whom he vilifies in this day and age as the murderers of Christ.

The Great Replacement Theory. This is a long time theory of Carlson’s even on Fox but in 2026 he started linking it to Israel and pro Israel supporters. The “Replacement Theory” resonates very ominously with Jews as a result of the Neo Nazi and white supremacist Charlottesville march in 2017 chanting with white torches hoisted, “The Jews will not replace us”.

Criticism of Israeli treatment of Palestinian Christians. April 2024, he calls for Christians to stop supporting Israel. In of itself this is not anti semitic but is highly tendentious.

Interviewing known antisemites and not challenging them. September 2024, Carlson introduces  Darryl Cooper as “..the best and most honest, (Jay H. Ell’s emphasis) and popular historian in America.” What comes next is revisionist history. Churchill is the villain not Hitler. There was no holocaust. Jews died but from starvation because the Nazis never had enough food. This is the way to go. You aim for plausible deniability. Bring on a pundit who mouths your views and you don’t challenge him/her. Dr. El Sayed and Mayor Zohran Mamdani and a few others trot out the antisemite Hasan Piker. 

Interview with Nick Fuentes. October 2025. This is the real deal. Fuentes is an open antisemite no holds barred. He claims unchallenged by Carson that “Organized Jewry in America” are a major obstacle to a Christian nation.  Nor are the Jews part of Western  Civilization. Zionist Jews have a dual loyalty. “Jews are a stateless people and unassimilable……putting the interests of themselves before the interests of their home country……”.  Fuentes, who had dinner with Trump in 2022 further opined  that “Jews are not really white….”. He not unsurprisingly affirmed that “some of his best friends are Jews…” 

Interview with Mr. Fishback, January 2026. Although the interviewee only received 10 percent of votes in the Republican Primary for Governor in Florida his attacks on Jewish Americans were widely circulated not only by Carlson but in the media generally. Carlson noted, "Very soon winning Republicans will all be talking like this".

So that who Mr. Carlson is

WHO ARE CHABAD?

In March of 2026 Carson informed his viewers that, “…the Iran war might have a religious or messianic dimension that Americans were not being told about….”. Before going onto attack Chabad, he conceded that the members were “Nice people”, doing “good things” for the community.

Chabad is a most remarkable phenomenon in recent Jewish history under the leadership of "The Rebbe", Menachim Mendel Schneerson, They have established 3,600 centers worldwide since WW!!. However ever since 1994 with the death of  the "Rebbe" there has been no central organization. Anyway all of the centers are autonomous and have to be financially independent. As mentioned in the blog, “Can the Jews Survive”, Rabbi Schneerson’s main focus was education for which he was nationally honored. In addition his centers were to welcome all regardless of whether religious or not. A million Jews have been said to attend one or other Chabad event whether it a religious service, social or educational event. 

Chabad also are visible in the community erecting large Menorah candelabras around the Festive season. They do not hide their messianism. Hardly the behavior of some secret society starting a war. Carson has not one jot of evidence to make his inferences. His motive cannot be truth seeking. It is rather to add fuel to the fire of the increasing world wide antisemitism.

THE DANGER OF CARLSON’S CONSPIRACY THEORY

Tucker Carlson is positioned to be one of the top influencers of the next rendition of the  Republican Party. While his abandonment of Trump could position him to run for the Presidential nomination, at the moment he is backing Vice President Vance who currently is odds on favorite to win his Party's 2028 nomination. That would make Vance a formidable contender with the additional support of Erika Kirk the CEO of Turning Point, which under her late husband delivered the youth vote for Trump’s 2024 victory. Marco Rubio has stated that he would back the current Vice President should he run for the Party’s nomination. Vance also is a creation of big Tech having received their support to launch him on his political career. Vance and Tucker are reported to have a close relationship. Vance is the most pliable politician imaginable who changes positions depending on the situation.

Without becoming too conspiratorial Vance has to know where Carson stands. In fact in September 2024 the then nominee for Vice President was featured in a lead “New York Times” story reporting that he was appearing on “The Tucker Carlson Live Show which featured a Holocaust denier.” 

AT THE END OF THE DAY

So the major influencer of the Republican Party and at least two very prominent  Democrat politicians have connections with diabolical antisemites and this is being ignored by the media prior to an election. Nobody is denying anyone the right to attack the present rightwing Israeli Government and its conduct of wars. But surely the allegation that the American Jews are responsible, through Chabad, for what could turn out to be a world war merits challenge? Also the alleged motive is to destroy a sacred mosque and erect a Jewish temple is a stretch beyond rational imagination. This the same type of defamation that “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion” trolled which was investigated and exposed by “The Times”.

The media need to expose antisemitism which was the hallmark of Hitler and Stalin. Carlson’s “The Protocols of the Elders of Chabad” needs to get a public airing because anyone who has the slightest knowledge of history knows what it could portend. 

If the Democrats lose the Michigan Senate race so be it. It is scary that so many of their electorate voted for someone who had Hasan Piker as a supporter. Incidentally the “workers”, the blacks and the non college degree voters didn’t buy Piker’s venom, it was the rather the “elites” that tipped Dr. El Sayed over the top in the Democratic Primary. Finally. Mr. Piker crossed a line that resulted in the Democratic leadership disassociating themselves from his racism, Hakeem Jeffries Democratic Minority Leader of the House snapped that he was "..Malicious"  in that he claimed that "Jews were inviting violence against themselves by supporting Israel."   

Scary too is what the Republican Party may morph into under the influence of Carlson and Vance.

As the most unJewish Jew of them all, Woody Allen opined, “….if tomorrow someone marches outside a synagogue shouting death to the Zionists - I’ll go outside. Not because I’m brave…..(but) because Jews too many times hoped that madness would disappear on its own. It never disappears. It puts on a suit goes to University and opens a TikTok account”.

THE DEMOCRATIC TEA PARTY

In November 2026 there are the crucial USA midterm elections where the burning issue is whether Trump will be held to account and a brake put on his sadistic insanity. The desire to rid the current corrupt kleptocratic totalitarian imperialist regime is the principle objective of Democratic Party, (DP). Nevertheless a central issue in a few (DP) Primary elections is devolving into a fight over Israel and Jewish money controlling politics to the extent that it has crossed the line into antisemitism.The fear is  that pushing this racism under the rug might kill the party much as a small number of activists forming "The Tea Party" did to the Republican Party starting in 2007. 

The most significant DP Primary contest was held in the swing state of Michigan for a vacant Senate seat which was won by charismatic Abdul El Sayed a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, (DSA ). - an outcome Trump welcomed as “Great news for the Republican Party”. Dr. El Sayed’s majority was about 15,000 out of 1.7 million votes cast. This electoral fight was extremely ugly and had as much to do with with Israel and antisemitism as socio-economics. The fact that the  American Israeli Public Affairs Committee, (AIPAC) had backed the DP establishment candidate CongressPerson, Haley Stevens was El Sayed's rationale for a vast range of attacks.  

 Michigan is a must win state for the DP to take control of the Senate. In 2024 Harris lost the State to Trump by 80,000 votes with over 5.5 million cast. The Senate however went to Elisa Slotkin, (DP), by 19.000 against Mike Rogers of the Republican Party, (GOP). The same Mike Rogers is the GOP candidate again knowing that last time out he garnered nearly 2.8 million votes. This time Rogers is running against a very disunited opposition, El Sayed having made Israel, AIPAC and whether he likes it or not antisemitism a centerpiece of his attack on his opponent.

 Ironically El Sayed’s backing did not come from “the workers” but rather “the elites” as the black, rural  and non college degreed voters stumped for Stevens. El Sayed received the bulk of Muslim and Arab voters as Michigan has the largest number of these demographic groups in America, 10 percent of the population of the state. So let’s go to the “issues”.

ON ZIONISM, BEING A PROGRESSIVE AND ISRAEL

El Sayed - On being asked on whether you could be a Zionist and Progressive

“Every articulation of the Jewish state ends up in some articulation of illiberal values every single one. Money is the only reason why Democrats who ‘believe in human rights’ would support Israel”.

Stevens.  On stating her position on Israel.

“It is very clear that Mr.Netanyahu has not made us safer, has not brought us closer to peace and has endangered Jews here in America and the world. I am not afraid to stand up for humanitarian aid for the US  with countries in the region and get aid into Gaza. The difference between her and the other candidate, (El Sayed) came down to her support for a two-state solution and her belief that Israel has a right to peacefully exist alongside the people of Palestine and in Gaza”.

AIPAC AND THE INFLUENCE OF JEWISH MONEY IN AMERICAN POLITICS

In the final debate candidate El Sayed mentioned AIPAC again and again as being the vehicle though which Jewish money controlled foreign policy towards Israel and policy in general. He depicted Congressperson Steven’s campaign as solely, (Jay H. Ell’s emphasis), a manifestation of a Jewish plot to buy American elections for the sake of Israel. He attacked the DP Senate minority leader, Chuck Schumer, as often as he did President Trump. He smeared Schumer as being one of the the establishment that sold America to Israel and AIPAC. In response an overwhelmed and exasperated Stevens replied that he wanted to “blame all problems on Jewish Americans”. Stevens is left of center having been part of the Obama administration. Dr. El Sayed is a former Public Health Director of Wayne County Michigan.

Earlier on El Sayed had called his opponent a “walking suit with a big fat AIPAC account…..and that there was a ‘quid pro quo’ for (her) policy making.” On another occasion he inferred that a poll that put her slightly ahead was paid for AIPAC when the facts were totally to the contrary.

AIPAC indeed backed Stevens with 30 million dollars in this campaign and their wisdom in getting involved in this type of election is questionable. AIPAC’s problem is that it has allowed Netanyahu to go unquestioned.They do not differentiate between support of the State of Israel and letting the government know that, for example, The Settlers' violence is unacceptable. In terms of size and influence in American politics and lobbying AIPAC are lightweights. This especially in the shadow of the Supreme Court placing no limit on what can be spent on campaigns. But El Sayed's thrust, as seen by his statements was a repetition of the time old canard that the amoral Jews control the world with money.

THE BACKING OF AN AMERICAN 'TERRORIST'

Perhaps the most sickening action was El Sayed’s defense of an American Muslim 'terrorist' who attempted to drive into a synagogue where there were a 100 children maintaining that “Hurt people, hurt people”. The attacker who had opened fire died by suicide. The incident resulted in injury to a security guard and 63 police officers were treated in hospital for smoke inhalation. According to El Sayed, overseas actions  have implications in America and “bleed into local communities”. The attacker was related to a family whose head was a Hezbollah Commander and he and two of his brothers were killed in an Israeli Defense Force Air Raid. 

One can understand the grief of the relative and this whole Middle East conflict has resulted in condemnation from many directions. Many Jewish Americans lost relatives in October 7 2023 Hamas massacre and some were taken as hostages. Can you imagine the justifiable outrage if a Jewish 'terrorist' attacked a kindergarten in a Mosque and answered as El Sayed had?

Needless to say Dr. El Sayed balanced his comments by statements such as by adding  “While condemning this vile antisemitic attack”. He conceded that putting out his statement “was a risk”. A risk to what? His office stated that his rationale was based ''on the large Muslim and Arab communities and that he also had been critical of Israel’s long military campaign in Gaza”. 

Ms. Stevens had made it quite clear what she thought of Mr. Netanyahu so he was not making a stark difference in policy positions rather than as El Sayed’s office had communicated, “We understood that putting out a nuanced, (Jay. H. Ell’s emphasis), statement opened the door for bad - faith critiques”. 

DR. EL SYAED’S RELATIONSHIP WITH HASAN PIKER

Hasan Piker is an unashamed antisemite who has maintained that Hamas is a 1000 times better than Israel, endorses violence against Israelis, has no issue with Hezbollah, supported October 7, 2023 and “ America deserved 9/11”. Not only has candidate El Sayed campaigned with him, Piker was with him at his victory party. Of course Dr. El Sayed has distanced himself from the 9/11 statement but not much else. Mr. Piker had a 3 hour discussion with New York Mayor Mamdani who vindicated his decision claiming he would speak to anyone!

Mr. Piker has 2.7 million followers on “Twitch” and jacked up his antisemitism rants since October 7, 2023. He has labelled the Orthodox as “inbred” used an old trope against Jews by calling one of them a “bloodthirsty pig”. With regard to the rapes of October 7, “It doesn’t matter if rape happened on October 7th. It doesn’t change the dynamic for me”. He glorified the “brave mujahadeen” for wounding Navy Seal US Congressperson Dan Crenshaw. He opined that the Israelis were behind the Moroccans invading Spanish Ceuta. 

WHAT THE OTHERS SAID

In Jay H. Ell’s last blog, “United States - Circa 2028”, he had hoped for leadership from Bernie Sanders the founder of the DAS and a populist himself not to back anybody who he thinks can win just a DP Primary Election. He backed Platner in Maine who had a Nazi tattoo. He hailed El Sayed’s victory in Michigan as “the most extraordinary victory I can think of in modern American politics”. Sorry Presidents Obama and Trump.

Robert Reich, a former Labour Secretary in Clinton’s cabinet, who is the most left wing Democratic commentator claimed that El Sayed won because “he was a fighter”. He said that he was not a Socialist. None of them are, not even Bernie. The latter has won a Vermont Senate seat for years, which state has a population of 644,000. He was head of the Senate Finance Committee who pushed through Biden’s attempt at widening the social welfare and carbon free energy programs. The latter entailed partnership with corporations. 

Michigan’s Jewish Attorney General Dana Nessel, who has successfully fought Trump in the courts has not publicly endorsed El Sayed. In fact she has been exposed to anti -semitism within the Michigan DP and refused to attend a meeting. Neither has the Jewish Michigan Congress Caucus endorsed El Sayed.

AT THE END OF THE DAY

As everyone rallies around El Sayed Jay H. Ell is reminded of the destructive Tea Party faction which led to the losses of John McCain and Mick Romney arguably the most reasonable Republicans in the GOP. They ultimately destroyed the GOP

 and got Trumpism instead.

Politics is a tough business. It is central to a working democracy. It is a tragedy politicians don’t take it seriously. 

Dr. El Sayed has removed 100 videos from his website. Do you think it will help? What might assist is that Trump’s disapproval rate is 66 percent.

At the end of the day the Jews in the Democratic Party in Michigan will be expected to “Take one for the team”.

 The DP need to get their act together. Obama and a few others behind the scenes ought to take Senator Sanders into a corner and explain to him the facts of life. The narrow victory of a candidate in a Primary in Michigan doesn't portend the beginning of a "Judenfrei", (including him), utopia. It more realistically helps to perpetuate the hell America and the world are going through at the moment.

UNITED STATES CIRCA 2028

The United States of America could be a declining Empire but more significantly for Americans is who will be governing it circa 2028? Both official political parties are divided and while the Republican situation is unsustainable the Democrats have their knickers in a knot over shades of difference. There is little doubt that the Democrats will regain the House of Representatives in 2026 and are on a path to win the Senate - an assumption that would have been absurd 18 months ago. Not that the Democratic Party, (DP), is too popular but Donald Trump, who is the Republican Party, (GOP), is far less so. 

The Democrats have to be careful how they frame this interim fight as they cannot deliver too much in opposition with a President who has had his power enhanced by the Supreme Court. If they promise the moon not being able to deliver the 2028 Presidential election will be thrown open. A  MAGA contender, who has ditched Trump for betraying the Party that he defined, will run against a Democrat whose party has not presented a united front. 

It has sunk into Trump's incoherent mind that his Republican Party is going to sustain heavy losses in the 2026 midterm election. Plan A is to try and take over the electoral process thereby ensuring a victory. If Plan A fails, Plan B, is the allegation that foreign influences such as China want him out and crooked the voting machines. It will be fraud one way or another. The President in moments of lucidity has even mused that the Party in power always loses in the midterms. 

THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY CIRCA 2026

The DP have yet to hammer out a consensus policy that they could run on in 2028. Rather they are set to have an internecine battle as to who their presidential candidate is going to be in the inane belief that whoever wins so will the country go. The rise of  Democratic Socialists is nothing new. The types of progress needed is not dissimilar to the New Deal by FDR, in the 1940’s,  Dwight Eisenhower, in the 1950’s and then by LBJ in the 1960’s. Obama moved it modestly in the 2010’s. However as the Mandela mantra argued it is a “Long Walk to Freedom”

Over the past 50 years the DP has moved from the party of the workers to that of special groups - not that that was unworthy but it allowed Donald Trump to take the mantle of being the people’s candidate. He has not delivered. His charisma and rhetoric cannot cancel out that he is creating an oligarchy at the expense of the electorate. Rousing speeches don’t remove the realities of higher food and energy costs, loss of health care, savage treatment of alleged illegal immigrants, the high cost of housing, and an unpopular ill thought out escalating war. That Communism is the greatest internal threat America has ever faced, "....greater (than the) World Wars, Pearl  Harbor and 9/11", will be his message for the 2026 campaign. 

Bernie Sanders, the leader of the Democratic Party, Socialists, (DPS),has a huge responsibility. He cannot afford a repeat of his 2106 Primary battle with Hilary Clinton where at the Democratic Convention his supporters screamed down the crowning of the eventual candidate. At the moment he and his protege Ms Ocassio - Cortez are touring supporting their candidates in Democratic Primaries. They are visiting red and blue states to wild receptions. That is all very well, in 2024 Harris's herself had crowds of 50,000, but can they a swing Congressional seats in rural Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia, Michigan, Iowa, Alaska or Texas?. Can any of their candidates win in the other contested Senate seats other than Maine which was won by Kamala Harris in 2024. The dice is really being rolled, for example, in the Wisconsin Governor’s  and Michigan’s Senate DP Primary elections as to whether an electable nominee can emerge.

The DPS move the debate starkly exposing the inequities in the American society. It is interesting to note that in 2020 Sanders after competing with, eventually allied with Biden knowing that Trump was a danger to the Republic. Now he seems to be supporting anyone whom he thinks can win a DP Primary without proper research, vetting and working through the consequences. The two factions within the DP need to strategize.

THE 2028 DP PRESIDENCY CANDIDATES

What is crucial is that in 2028 the DP win the Presidency. The latter more so than ever because the Supreme Court has given that Executive Office unimaginable power. For that, he or she will need a legislative record as well as not being a polarizing figure. At the moment there are two rising stars in the DP, Jon Ossoff and Alexandra Ocassio - Cortez. They are young and charismatic. The former is too young and inexperienced. He, Ossoff, has soared into contention as a devastating authentic attacker of Trump and a certain Senate winner in Republican Georgia. He is inexperienced and the fact that he is Jewish can’t help. Ms. Ocassio -Cortez is just that a Ms, young but more experienced than Ossoff. She is a former bartender who knocked out an establishment Congressman Democrat in a very blue Congressional constituency in New York. A genuine worker and like Ossoff a rock star. She is the DPS torchbearer as Bernie fades into the sunset. 

The obvious nominee should be Biden’s Transport Secretary Pete Butticieg who ran a magnificent Presidential Campaign in 2020 with the experience of only having been a Mayor of a small town in red Indiana. He is at ease in GOP environments and a regular on Trump’s echo chamber, Murdoch’s Fox News. He is left of center skillfully declining to comment on some of the far out policies of the DPS such as throwing out the Senate!. He maintained that there is much that can be agreed upon. In a similar vein is Andy Beshear ,Governor of the red state Kentucky. He would not have the national following Butticieg has. The bias against the latter is the one that led Kamala Harris not to consider him as her Vice Presidential running mate - he is a gay. Kamala Harris herself is a contender but the same prejudices still apply to her.

There are many other contenders such as Gavin Newsom, Governor of the fourth largest economy in the world, California. Legislators Corie Booker, Ro Khanna and Amy Klobuchar and Governors Pritzker, Moore and Shapiro can be added to the deep DP bench - not forgetting Rahm Emanuel former Obama's Chief of Staff. 

But the Democrats in general have two priorities - to see to it that the elections take place in an environment where all those that support them feel it is safe to vote in 2026. They also have to have a unified policy going into the 2028 with everyone backing the Presidential nominee who emerges from the Primary.

THE RESPONSE TO TRUMP THREATS TO 2026 MIDTERMS

The issues of safety, fairness, voting and even cancellation of the 2026 election are being seriously addressed by the DP, it’s supportive Political Action Committees , non governmental organizations, and it’s legal team. Within and without the Congress the Dems are responding to Trump’s unabashed attempts at nullifying the midterms. Recently the DP leader of the Senate, Chuck Schumer held a second caucus where different scenarios were played out. The fear that ICE or any other Federally controlled militia could be sent to intimidate  is being countered by discussions with local police officials who constitutionally are in charge. Other scenarios were discussed but generally speaking participants were tight lipped and concerned. Their lead counsel. Mark Elias was more positive.

Every move to abort free and fair elections is being fought in the Courts where Elias and his team of 80 lawyers are in active litigations against infractions of the process. Elias’s company Democracy Docket are tracking 194 active cases at the moment. In the principal area of Trump’s powerful Department of Justice, (DOJ), weighing in, the DP plaintiffs have won all 17 cases that have been decided. These are Trump’s attempts via his DOJ to get State voting lists. 

As Elias has pointed out Trump tried every thing possible to overturn his loss in 2020 including watching over an attack on the Capitol by supporters who threatened to kill his Vice President. Trump has made it quite clear that he has every intention of not allowing defeat in 2026 and alluded to the fact that he may run for an illegal third term in 2028. That would be his fourth victory he swaggers as he still argues he beat Biden In 2020. His fight against reversing failure has marked his career since being a businessman. As Elias points out he even reversed a referee in The FIFA World Cup Football Championship.

So far the Supreme Court have given Trump what appears to be two victories. First they allowed States to gerrymander constituencies. The GOP States kicked off potentially giving Trump more seats in the House. DP States countered and the overall advantage to Trump’s GOP was minimized. Then that august body placed no limits on money that could be spent on elections. As it happens the DP candidates have overwhelmingly out raised  their opposition with small donations while the GOP Political Action Committees have a ton more money. The Conservative Court however narrowly ruled against the biggest threat to DP safe voting, mail and absentee ballots by ruling against the regime.

Another Trump move is the “Save The Vote” Act which would seriously damage DP voters who do not have original birth certificates or up to date passports and women who have married and have changed their name. This Act is stuck in the Senate where the Republican leader has stated, in spite of daily belittling and cajoling by Trump, he hasn’t 50 votes let alone 60 to break the filibuster. So Trump has gone to the courts to claim the right to control elections where he has lost so he has urgently gone to the Supreme Court.

“WE THE PEOPLE” RESPONSE TO THE TRUMPIAN  REGIME

So far “We the people” are more than doing their bit. The violent ICE, (United States Customs and Enforcement), have been forced out of cities in spite of their stormtrooper like behavior. There have been, day in and day out, placard carrying dissidents in the streets screaming their opposition to all efforts to create an authoritarian state. “Illegals” have been rounded up like cattle while protestors, and others besides the undocumented have been killed in the round up. Over 50 detainees have died in a year. Protests everywhere at the turning of warehouses into detention centers have virtually called the objective to a halt. The “Indivisible” organization have held 3 countrywide “No Kings” protests that have produced a record number of citizenry at each, 7 million at two. The left wing online podcasters and not for profit groups have burgeoned and are dominating. Bye election results and primaries show at least a 10 percent swing away from Trump. Even the Murdoch media empire is divided. The “Wall Street Journal” is full-time into hammering Trump. So what now?

SO WHAT NOW?

The DP need a plan, strategy that goes beyond 2026. It is much more difficult to run as a potential government and then just attacking a corrupt, incompetent administration. Whatever part of the legislature they control they need to spell out what a DP Government could in enact if it had the Presidency. 

Trump came in with a plan, “Project 25”, although he truthfully denied he knew its contents. The key author of the plan is sitting in The White House, (aptly named for him and Trump). Russell Voight is Director of the Office Management and the Budget and several other “acting” positions. He has achieved his main goal, expansion of the power of the Presidency. He should have been careful what he wished for although he assumed and has yet not been proved wrong that Trump would be there forever.

For heaven’s sake there are politicians at the helm of the DP. They have to understand how to get things done. For example, every sane person knows that medical care should be available for all and costs are out of control.The strategy now should be comprehensive including to fully reinstall the Affordable Care Act, (Obamacare), and widen it to fill the gap that an expanded Medicaid and Medicare won’t cover. Progress to a single payer system and central government control in this milieu is a pipe dream. An overall plan that is doable is needed.(Remember it was the GOP President Eisenhower who built a massive infrastructure program and raised the maximum tax rate to 92 percent).There also aren’t enough doctors at the moment. They have to expand the nurse practitioner program where specialized skills can be learned in a few years by those who have clinical experience. Hospital and Insurance groups cost structure needs overall. Obscenely the CEOS earn millions of dollars. Sixty - five percent of people going bankrupt stated medical issues as the cause. 

Timothy Snyder has mentioned the nuclear option. secession of the blue states like, California, Illinois, New York et al. As matters stand at the moment they are receiving far less than they pay to the Federal Government. In fact they subsidize the Red States

AT THE END OF THE DAY

If 2026 is maneuvered to MAGA it will be the end of democracy for a long long time.

If 2026 is lost by MAGA and then won back in 2028 it will be as bad.
