TRUMP: THE EPSTEIN TSUNAMI

Every move that has been executed by the Trump Administration this past seven weeks has added to the growing tsunami that the unreleased “Epstein Files” is creating. (Blog: This is Epsteingate, July 27, 2025). It is not unreasonable to ask why the  47th President of the United States of America has been shaken to the core and been driven to inane denials that there is nothing “there” or that conversely that the files were created by Obama, Biden and Hillary Clinton. Also he is daily using diversion tactics from ordering an investigation into a spurious allegation that Obama committed sedition by creating the “hoax” that Russia interfered in the 2016 election, to staging a hastily arranged futile meeting with Vladimir Putin in Alaska. (Incidentally, the scuttlebutt on line still is that Putin has something on Trump). This was followed up by a meeting with European leaders and Zelensky eating up another day where Epstein wasn't in the news.

Notwithstanding the traction of these sideshows interest in the world of convicted pedophile Epstein and Trump's relationship won't abate. 

The Trump Administration's litigation to show transparency on the matter resulted in two Federal Judges' scathing judgements against their bogus litigation in attempt to downplay what the  “files” may reveal. The Justices labelled the efforts as nothing but “diversions” from releasing the files themselves. So can this bohaai over “the files” really result in the unmasking of that giant of the world stage, Donald J. Trump? If so how and why?

TRUMP THE OMNIPOTENT AND HIS FRIENDSHIP WITH EPSTEIN/MAXWELL

Donald J. Trump, the indestructible behemoth, the orange teflon giant who nobody could slay has finally revealed his jugular artery. His weakness unlike that like Goliath lies not in his forehead or akin to Samson in his hair but rather in his hidden life spanning a twenty year period from about 1985 to 2005 which are apparently chronicled in “The Epstein Files”

The colossus, who waltzed through 6 bankruptcies then successfully hawked himself as a business genius who had mastered “The Art of the Deal”, who stole from his own charity foundation and created a fake University ripping off senior citizens while holding himself out to be a philanthropist, who was adjudged in a civil case to be a rapist who claims to the strongest advocate of women, paid off a porn actress for her silence and bragged that as a star he could grab women by the pussy yet still retain the support of over fifty percent of white women, who was found guilty of 34 felonies and was criminally indicted in several other cases yet claims to be strong on crime and who was impeached twice, instigated a coup only to thereafter successfully run for a second term Presidency, has finally imploded over something as abstract as files, specifically, “The Epstein Files”. 

There have to be a very powerful secrets that is contained in those files that has allowed this omnipotent superman to publicly cover up for them by inter alia sending his deputy attorney general, who was his criminal defense lawyer, to discuss the contents with the convicted pedophile and Epstein's co  conspirator, Ghislaine Maxwell. Trump had an association with for both those for the crucial years. He initially wished her well on her indictment for sexual assault on children.

 Days after his deputy attorney general Tod Blanche's "discussion" with her, Maxwell was transferred to a low security prison where she was potentially allowed to have contact with the surrounding community. Protests followed adding to the durability of the scandal. Whatever Maxwell had to say should be taken with a pinch of salt. She had been indicted for perjury and her sentencing Judge found her to be dishonest.  She did not take the opportunity to give any defense in her trial for sexual predatory but felt comfortable to exculpate Trump with no cross examination. Disgustingly she trashed the victims.

It also should be noted that “The Daily Mail” reported that Maxwell’s cell mate maintained that Maxwell bragged that she had the dirt on Trump and she hoped to obtain a pardon from then President Biden in return for spilling the beans. The subsequent release of the transcript and audio  of the meeting where Maxwell stated that she never saw the President in a compromised situation and he behaved like a "Gentleman through out" reassured none of his critics who doubled their efforts for the release of the whole unredacted "Epstein File".

Trump ordered The Speaker of The House of Representatives to close down Congress early to avoid a bipartisan resolution to propose the release of the files! The President needed tome to sort this out which apparently he believes he has. Oddly this served to add another month to the drama. Trump's Attorney General finally announced that she will release the hundreds of thousands of pages of "the files" in batches. It is almost certain that there will be questions as to the selectivity as to what will be forthcoming. Anyway that will ensure the longevity of the saga closer and closer to the midterm elections. 

So this is not going away. Every other day there is another revelation as to Trump's association with the pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and his convicted co conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell. A sensational book written by Andrew Lownie has just surfaced which details the sordid activities of Prince Andrew and his wife Sarah Ferguson. In addition the relationship between The Prince, Epstein and Trump has been recorded. Trump who denied having met Prince Andrew faces this accusation where there are multiple photos confirming his association. Some even include Melania. 

Then there is Michael Wolff who has written four books on Trump who also has over a hundred hours of tapes in discussion with Epstein. He is leaking bits and pieces such as Epstein maintained that he and Trump were best friends for over ten years. The victims have lawyers who are demanding justice and transparency. 

So why is this issue so important to Trump. His supporters have bitten the bullet on his outrageous behavior thus far. The answer lies in his campaign message that was so authentic to his cult, that “The Deep State" covered up the behavior of the elites, (Democrats), who among other things were running an international pedophile ring” This conspiracy tale runs very deep and has a long history and is so embedded in the psyche of the faithful that already several of the internet spokespeople are turning sour on him over his lack of transparency. 

WHY THE RETICENCE OF PRODUCING THE FILES?

Trump promoted the theory that “The Deep State” protected the real perpetrators of evil. The answer lay in several investigations where files hadn’t been released, namely, The Kennedy Assassination, The Martin Luther King Assassination, The 9/11 Attacks and The Epstein Files. He opened all but Epstein’s to the public. Then he humiliated the MAGA influencers by inviting them to the WhiteHouse and giving them files with public information already available on Epstein.

The online influencers were massively accountable for the creation of “The Deep State”. Conspiracy theorists such Alex Jones embellished on the fiction that there was an insider, QAnon, who was feeding clues to the followers about the internal cabal who were globalists, manipulators of the people on issues such as vaccination and climate change for example. But the issue that took the most traction was pedophilia because it was non contentious and everyone was against it. The influencers turned this into a “Save The Children” campaign which added to the cult’s following. This narrative became very powerful and even led to Pizzagate which alleged that Hillary Clinton was running a pedophilia ring under a Pizza cafe! 

While many of the powerful right wing influencers did not necessarily believe in the cult or QAnon it is fair to say that they were all taken up on the safety of children. Trump was a man of the people. They believed he was authentic and they weren’t dealing with politics as usual but when it came to the test Trump failed to deliver! 

THE RESPONSE TO NO EPSTEIN FILES

The issue of the “Files” was simmering but came to the fore when the rejected Elon Musk stated that Trump was all over the unreleased Epstein Files. Right wing influencers notably Joe Rogan, by far the most followed authority argued that “It was a line in the sand” and has not let go of the subject since. Rogan has told his millions of followers "to change their vote".  Steve Bannon, Lorrie Loomer, Candace Owens, Matt Walsh, Tucker Carlson, Michael Flynn, Roseanne Barr and Liz Wheeler to name some of the leading Trump backers have all to a lessor or greater extent cried fowl.

The disillusionment with Trump on this issue has coincided with increased inflation, weaker job numbers, an unexpected universal negative reaction to the gestapo like behavior of Trump immigration officers, and have all contributed to a sharp drop in Trump’s approval numbers to 37 percent. Also some aggressive response from Democratic Governor Newsom who stated the need to “fight fire with fire”. 

THE ISSUE WON’T GO AWAY

 On September 3 Congress returns and a bipartisan group are gang busters with their motion to have the files released. A Press Conference has been arranged for that day together with a few Epstein victims. There is Ghislaine who is sitting on the goods waiting for her pardon. There are a thousand FBI and other agents who went through the files to find Trump references. There have to be some ready to be anonymous sources who will  spill the beans.Musk has to know what he was blogging about. Alex Acosta, Trump's subsequent Minister of Labour, who gave Epstein a sweet heart deal will, sooner or later have to appear before Congress.

Also in case anyone has forgotten Trump fired the Chief Prosecutor, Maurene Comey, who laid the charges against Epstein, who was found dead in his cell under suspicious circumstances, and successfully prosecuted Ms. Maxwell. 

There are several hundred victims - remember the first whiff of an issue was when in1996 Maria Farmer reported Epstein and Trump to the FBI on suspicion of pedophilia. Who knows what Michael Wolff has got on his tapes with another potential blockbuster book in the offing? The internet itself is buzzing. Meidas Touch the anti Trump podcast is beaming out a half a dozen pieces in a day is now the leading media of all sorts beating out Fox and Rogan…….. SO THIS TSUNAMI IS NOT GOING AWAY.

AT THE END OF THE DAY

70 percent of Americans disapprove of Trump's handling of the Epstein files. No - one is going to believe the sanitized version they will get from Attorney General Pam Bondi.

The realization is that the Putin/Zelensky meetings, the flooding of Washington with military and paramilitary for example are merely diversionary tactics. 

If Trump is appearing in Washington with the military in peacetime one has to know why.

THIS IS EPSTEINGATE

Watergate was the scandal that rocked America in the nineteen seventies. It involved the months long revelations that begun with a bungled burglary of Democratic Party Offices ending in the resignation of Richard Nixon. There were jail sentences for 21 including the highest officers in the Administration. The major component of the criminality was not the initial impropriety but the cover up. Thereafter the media tagged a “gate” onto any scandal that followed. However, the only other one that really stuck was “Irangate”. The latter involved the Reagan administration’s secret sale of arms to Iran in return for American hostages. The moneys derived from those sales was used to finance an anti - communist rebel group, called Contra, in Nicaragua.  President Reagan after an investigation expressed dismay at his Administration’s involvement, six of whom were found guilty of various crimes arising out of the “gate”. President HW Bush subsequently pardoned them. 

“Epsteingate", is the “gate” to end them all. “Epsteingate" has arms like an octopus making the coverup almost impossible. However we are dealing with teflon Trump who has displayed remarkable resistance and whose 79 years of survival has been epic. It beats the hell out of Charlton Heston as Moses.    

WHAT HAS GONE INTO CREATING  EPSTEINGATE?   

A Monumental crime, spanning decades, allegedly involving the President of the USA

At the best of times the President of America is the center of the news cycle. Consequently any possible impeachable or criminal behavior will be exhaustively investigated and covered by all the media. Trump is no stranger to this set of circumstances having being impeached twice, is a convicted felon and now has been virtually made immune  by the Supreme Court. 

To say that Epsteingate is a crime is a masterpiece of understatement. There are literally a thousand victims with evidence that a large number were marred for life. They were young girls, several underage, that were not only raped or otherwise sexually abused by Jeffrey Epstein in addition to being trafficked to highly influential men including Prince Andrew. They were recruited and groomed as well as sexually abused by Ghislaine Maxwell. The latter was sentenced to  20 years in prison for her heinous behavior which was relived in her trial by victims one of whom subsequently committed suicide. 

President Trump has a decades long involvement with Epstein not only as “best friends” but bizarrely in his and Maxwell’s legal problems. This whole saga ironically threatens his administration as they desperately try to cover it up.

Timeline of Crime - All about Trump

In 1996 an Epstein/Maxwell victim Maria Farmer reported Epstein and Trump to the FBI for suspected activities related to pedophilia. Ten years later, 2006, the FBI finally followed up and Ms Farmer became part of a Federal Investigation that brought 60 Federal Charges against Epstein. What triggered it off was a complaint from the family of a 14 year old girl. What followed stinks to high heaven, the Federal charges were dropped in favor of one State charge of soliciting prostitution of a girl under the age of 18. In carrying out the sentence Epstein went to jail at night for 1 year. In addition the Federal Department of Justice signed a deal with Epstein that he and any of his co conspirators could never be charged in Federal Court. Alan Dershowitz Trump’s lawyer was part of the team that got this sweetheart deal. The Attorney General of Florida that went along with this is currently Trump’s Attorney General, Pam Bondi. 

In the following decade Epstein was subject to multiple civil suits. The Miami Herald did an in-depth investigation which focused on Trump’s Secretary of Labor Alexander Acosta who was the Federal Attorney General of Florida who dropped the sixty charges against Epstein and agreed to the non prosecute deal. Acosta resigned as a result of the revelations. Public opinion began to pique and Epstein was arrested and charged in 2019. He was found dead in his cell soon after. The official verdict was suicide but the forensic pathologist appointed by the Epstein family says homicide was far more likely. 

Michael Wolf who had been conducting taped interviews with Epstein revealed that Steve Bannon, Trump’s campaign manager in 2016 stated that he Epstein, was one of the two people he, Bannon, feared most in Trump’s campaign. 

Trump’s Justice Department then charged Ghislaine Maxwell with multiple sex crimes involving underage girls. The evidence was overwhelming and she was sentenced to 20 years in prison. 

It cannot be overemphasized that it was Trump’s Justice Department that arrested and charged both Epstein and Maxwell. In the process the EPSTEIN FILES were created -  not by Obama, Biden and Comey but by the Trump regime.

2021 - 2024 - An attempted coup, legal jeopardy and a populist presidential campaign 

Trump having messed up the Covid response was voted out in 2024, a result he refused to accept. There is incontrovertible evidence that he attempted a coup culminating in the January 6, 2021attack on the Legislative Capitol of the United States. As a result of Biden’s Justice Department being tardy in starting their investigation and with more than a little help from the Supreme Court, although a convicted felon in a State Court, Trump avoided justice on his attempted coup. 

Throughout all his legal troubles, Trump was a declared candidate for the Presidency so he claimed “election interference”. His electorate this time round made demands on him which he promised to deliver. Many of the MAGA crowd believed that there was a conspiracy by the elites, that is the Democrats, to conduct an international pedophilia ring which was being covered up. Already in the 2016 election they had maintained that there were tunnels under a Pizza restaurant where these nefarious activities were conducted. One of their deranged had even gone there and shot the place up. They believed that the FBI files of the assassinations of President Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, Martin Luther King and Epstein should be released because these held the key. 

In November 2024 Trump was elected to a second term as President. There is enough blame going around for this disaster but Biden cannot be let off the hook for giving an unknown candidate a few months to run against an opponent who had been on the ballot for ten years. Trump promised retribution for what he had gone through and the supine Republican Senate who had relied on the courts to put a halt to him by not impeaching him allowed him to appoint the most loyal but ignorant inappropriate cabinet in history, including an attorney general and FBI that would serve as his personal attorneys and investigating body.

Trump’s second term and the Epstein files.

After a disastrous start to his Presidency Trump was already 6 months in staring at dismal poll numbers. America was not quite ready for, his fascist thugs kidnapping non criminal immigrants, a Big Beautiful Bill which took away a social safety net and health care for seventeen million people while decreasing taxes for the one percent, not to mention increasing the national debt by trillions of dollars and introducing a crazy implausible  tariff scheme which pushed up inflation. Not to mention his international meddling which he promised to stop dead in 24 hours. Already the MAGA leaders were not charmed. Bannon, Musk, Carlson attacked the messiah who had been spared by G-d to lead them out of the wilderness. AND THEN CAME THE EPSTEIN FILES, which the MAGA  base demanded that Trump release. Musk had already attacked Trump saying he was all over in the massive trove of documents, videos, audio recordings, FBI interviews and Grand Jury Testimony.

Trump’s Justice Department initial position, and it is literally Trump’s personal Justice Department, was that there was no there there in “The systematic review” of the files and no additional materials would be released. However this did not fly so as usual Trump’s responses were all over the place and often contradictory. It was the well worn path of the Trump modus operandi - lies, the issue was boring, a position he maintained almost right up to his Scotland visit, those calling for the release, “were trouble makers and leftist radical lunatics and that the whole situation was “ a hoax, scam fueled by the Democrats”. He pathetically instructed, (!) The Justice Department to release the Grand Jury Testimony which would have helped nought, only to be flat out rejected by the court because the victims had not been consulted. 

Reality was soon to strike notably by Murduch’s “Wall Street Journal’s” revelations. There was a birthday book where Trump had submitted a salacious offering. This was denied by Trump but soon it was evident that the book was in the hands of many. The New York Times soon produced a copy of Maxwell’s written letter of introduction and produced the page of contents which showed Trump’s contribution. Dershowitz and Clinton did not deny that they had written a message. Then there was the acknowledgment that Bondi had blabbed to Trump as early as May that he was all over the place in the files. Trump denied this knowledge on a number of occasions thereafter. Perhaps most scary for Trump was that a thousand  FBI and other officials had gone over the files in 24 hour shifts to flag where he was in the files that if everyone remembers his first Justice Department had created. 

Trump deflected to no effect. The  release of the other files was met with a yawn. Then it it was Clinton and Larry Summers in the unreleased files that everyone should be focussing on. Finally there were two strategies that he stuck to before flying off to Scotland on the taxpayers’ tab to his golf courses where he met massive protests. He was instructing his Justice Department to investigate President Obama for his false smears that Russia had interfered in the 2016 election - a conclusion that a bipartisan Senate Committee under the Chairmanship of his own Secretary of State Marco Rubio had come to and he instigated an unprecedented interview of a convicted pedophile Ghislaine Maxwell by the second in command of the Justice Department Todd Blanche, Trump’s former criminal defense lawyer. (You just can’t make these things up!). Then he said Kamala Harris, Beyonce and Oprah should be investigated - he will running out of blacks soon. Mumbled about his tariff deals most of which haven’t happened….  And so it goes…..

There are all the legs of the octopus still hanging out there. Trump has declared war on Rupert Murdoch whose “Wall Street Journal” is taking him on while his “Fox News” is only talking about the Obama investigation. There are thousands of anonymous sources in addition to Maxwell and her brother who are not playing games. There is MAGA  and its podcasters who are already dumping Trump. There is the Congress which Speaker Johnson closed down early to avoid a vote on demanding the release of the files. Johnson has already confessed he wants transparency and has registered disgust at Maxwell and claimed who can believe her in response to a bipartisan motion to depose her on August 11. On top of all this chaos is the finding by Senator Wyden that Epstein had over a billion and a half dollars in foreign transactions including via Russian Banks…..

AT THE END OF THE DAY

So all this certainly qualifies to be the gate of all gates - Epsteingate.

The 64 billion dollar question is how on earth can teflon Don get out of this? If Maxwell says he never ever touched any of these victims in return for a pardon who will believe her? Whatever happens Trump will carry on as if it is all “a hoax” and try and rig the midterms.

It is a sad state of affairs when the Scottish are protesting to release the Epstein files. 

ANTISEMITISM AND WANNABE NY MAYOR MAMDANI

The New York Democratic primary mayoral election result produced a seismic shock that has reverberated throughout the American political world. Zohran Mamdani a 33 year old little known State’s Representative won to run in the November election for the most economically and politically important metropolitan city in the world, New York,(NY). At the beginning of the race he polled at 1 percent and now he is in the lead by 7 points at 43 percent, Added to his limited resume is the fact that he is of the Muslim faith in a city that has been influenced disproportionately by Jews for over a century. That in itself is irrelevant in the pool of vast faiths, cultures and origins of cosmopolitan NY. However what is relevant is his attitude towards Zionism, (a Jewish homeland), or can his actions even be interpreted as antisemitic?

Mr. Mamdani’s rationale for all the anti Zionism allegations against him is that he is holding  Israel accountable for the current continuing war in Gaza. But that is the position of at least half the Israelis who have been protesting for months for an end and the return of hostages. As this blog is being written there are hundreds of thousands gathered in Israel calling on Netanyahu to end the war and bring home the hostages. Nor does this simplistic explanation jive with his actions and statements on this issue.

Behind this momentous election result is the volatile political climate in America at the moment and the fact that Mr. Mamdani ran on a populist ticket calling himself a Democratic Socialist  He admitted that he was influenced by Donald Trump’s campaign appealing to basic economic issues. The young candidate is highly personable, charismatic and has a cult like following. Mamdani’s elevation to the top of Democratic leadership has produced glee to the floundering MAGA movement, sends a message to the directionless Democratic leadership and has to be analyzed in many contexts, including demographics. 

DEMOGRAPHICS AND STATISTICS

There are 16 million Jews in the world, 0.02 percent of its peoples, 9 million in Israel and 7 million in America. Metropolitan New York, (NY) has the world’s largest population of Jews in a city,1.3 million double that of Israel’s Tel Aviv. Metropolitan NY itself has nearly 10 million domiciled including roughly the same number of Muslims as Jews. The latter are 2 percent and Muslims 1.4 percent of America’s 330 million. 

There are 51 Muslim Majority Countries in the World. Muslims, who are far from homogenous number 1.7 billion who embrace the faith. The most vigorous protests against Israel and Jews generally are not in the the Muslim countries like Indonesia, Pakistan , India and Bangladesh who have populations between 150 million to 200 million but in America and Europe.The Israeli/Gaza problem lies in the Middle East where the Sunni States have no beef with Israel but rather it is the Shia nations led by Iran which have as a central constitutional objective the destruction of Israel and all Jews. The latter as well are far from being an homogenous group but traditionally have been very socially conscious. This is illustrated by the fact that President Trump’s “immigration guru” and the most senior Democratic Leader are both Jewish. In the New York Primary one out of five Jews voted for Mr. Mamdani’s candidacy.

 Besides the well publicized demonstrations that made 75 percent of Jewish students and faculty, feel “uncomfortable and fearful”, at Ivy League Universities the number of incidents defined as “anti semitic”, increased by 351percent In the USA in 2024. According to FBI data 66 percent of the religious hate crimes were against the Jews, Recently there have been three major hate crime actions where the victims were Jews. There was an arson attack on Governor Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania, the murder of two Israeli Embassy staff and attack with Molotov cocktails against a group calling for the return of the hostages still in Gaza. 

According to the ADL there is a world wide anti Jewish sentiment. A report released in January 2025 indicated that 46 percent of the world’s population harbor deeply entrenched antisemitic attitudes. It is in this environment the actions of Mr. Mamdani, rightly or wrongly have caused apprehension among most of the Jewish citizenry of New York.

WHAT ACTIONS OF MR MAMDANI HAVE CAUSED CONCERN?

Democratic candidate Mamdani’s claims his focus of criticism is on Israel which is an independent sovereign state not a colonial offshoot. Mr. Mamdani argues that he cannot support any country that is based solely on one religion. Yet he has no problem apparently with the 51 Muslim states. Also attacks on Israel as a nation rather than its government are not synchronous with democratic values. The objective of the outcry against Russia’s naked aggression towards Ukraine is not to eliminate Russia as a country but rather the attack is on Putin and the current government.

Mamdani recently has concentrated on the plight of Palestinians in Gaza yet on October 8 one day after the October 7 slaughter of Israeli citizens, Mamdani took the opportunity to attack Israel. October 7 was the most obscene, sadistic and unholy massacre, rape, baby murder, kidnapping of hostages in recent world history. On October 13, 6 days after October 7, activist Mamdani organized a protest outside the home of Jewish Senate Democratic leader.

Mr. Mamdani has called for a “Global Intifada”and when challenged he stated that the term had once been used by the Holocaust museum in connection with the Warsaw Ghetto uprising. This led to an immediate response from the museum that claimed that using that term in the current context “was outrageous and especially offensive to holocaust survivors”. Frankly this terminology in the context of the Israeli situation is highly inflammatory. Mamdani knows of the two “Intifada” attacks on Israel by the PLO which were an attempt to kill all Israeli citizens. Since then there have been frequent calls for a third “Intifada”. So what does he really mean by a Global Intifada?

Candidate Mamdani has refused to disavow a podcaster Hasan Piker whom he joined on a 3 hour internet discussion. Piker called a condemner of the October 7th Nova Festival massacre a 'bloodthirsty pig”. Jews he has smeared as being “inbred”. When pressed as to why he consented to program with Piker candidate Mamdani stated that he would interact with anyone and everyone on this campaign.

State Legislator Mamdani’s defense of his refusal to sign a resolution condemning the Holocaust and “Honoring Israel” was absurd claiming that his office does not sign resolutions that come by email!

He has repeatedly called for “Boycott, Sanction and Disinvestment” of Israel and refuses to answer whether he would do the latter as Mayor of New York. He also is supportive of the boycott of Israeli academics.

As a States Legislator he condemned the participation of legislators in a pro Israel march. America has this type of event annually. It is not used generally as an attack on the Irish, Italian Polish, Hungarian legislators that join in, for example. Likewise as mentioned in the New York Times editorial the preoccupation of the left only with Gaza and ignoring Ukraine, Sudan and other questionable humanitarian crisis such as exist in Iran and Saudi Arabia is significant. So as horrific as the Gaza situation is the irresistible conclusion is that the sole focus on this one instance of a humanitarian crisis must bear some relationship to the fact that Israel is a Jewish nation.

Just in case this agenda bears any relation to reality, as Mayor, he would arrest Benjamin Netanyahu when he arrives in New York!

It may be clear in Mr. Mamdani’s mind that his position doesn’t remotely impact Jewish citizens. To Jay H. Ell that is a hard sell, for example what was he doing outside a Jewish leader’s house on October 13, 6 days after the most heinous attack on Jews since the Holocaust, attacking Israel? Why is he calling for a “Global Intifada” which only can be interpreted as an incitement against Jews in the world?

MR. MAMDANI’S POPULIST AGENDA AND WHO VOTED FOR HIM

The agenda of the winning Democratic candidate is a naive wish list from building houses, creating grocery shops with cheaper wares, freezing rent, free bus rides and on and on. In order to pay for this he will tax the rich and the companies. New York City and New York State have the highest taxes in the country. This is not the Federal system where the real taxation is collected.

So why on earth did the Democratic electorate vote for him? They were only to happy to reject the complacent entitled smug compromised Democratic establishment candidate. Mamdani’s largest constituency was the youth who are desperate for some kind of what passes for authenticity. He connected. He was on TikTok He was everywhere. He knocked on a million doors. He was engaged. It didn’t matter that he didn’t make sense. He was change. He was empathetic. He was charming. He was real.

Ironically the next lot that pulled the lever for him were the richest and the middle class of Democratic New York. The Democratic nominee didn’t get the voters you had to assume put him over the top, the lower income group and the African Americans. For them life is too serious to play games, They voted for reality as awful as it looked. The arrogant and compromised Cuomo had for all his weaknesses experience in running government and his policies always cared for all of New York.

AT THE END OF THE DAY

This situation does not need Islamophobia added to the debate.

Jay H. Ell hopes the Israelis force Netanyahu out of power. But before that he stops his never ending war that is now only producing casualties and untold misery, If he finished off Hezbollah and Iran in no time how come he needs a lifetime to conclude a war that is over?

If anyone doesn’t believe that this will only end when a solution for the other victims, the Palestinians, whom no powers really care about, is found, they are mistaken.

It is not only diaspora Jews that conflate their identity with Israel. It is the “other”.

Whether the Democratic nominee for NY mayor is a de facto anti semite and  “some of his best friends are Jews” or not ,will emerge in what has become one of the more important elections in November.

Whichever way this is diced and sliced the Jews have seen this movie again and again for about 2 millennia. Even the Jews that blended in. In a pogrom it was irrelevant if they backed the Tzar or not.
